Kalypso is the shipping company created to offer its customers direct connections.
Its container ships move in accordance with the large flows of goods.
Along the Italy-Asia axis, it has created two distinct and specialized routes:

Marco Polo
Italy – China – Italy

Salgari
Italy – Bangladesh – Italy.

In this case, the advantage is not the immediately obvious one of speed and maximum efficiency but also the certainty of being able to count on boarding and arrival with real express services based on very short transit times.

For the Mediterranean, however, it launched Butterfly Service, the Intramed route connecting six ports, including Turkey, Libya and Italy, with Salgari and Marco Polo, enhancing and implementing its potential.

Their particular flexibility, typical of a customer-focused shipping company, also allows for the screening of specific needs for different ports of call in Europe and the Mediterranean, building tailor-made solutions complete with every service.

Italy – Bangladesh is a route characterized by a transit time of 16/18 days, with regular departures every 20 days. A new opportunity to increase trade with the manufacturing country of the Gulf of Bengal that exports finished products and imports more and more equipment and instrumental mechanics.

Butterfly Service is the Intramed Short Sea Lines offer that connects the ports of Turkey, Libya and Italy, thus creating an expansion of services to and from China and Bangladesh, also with the aim to expand the movement of containers to the ports and customers of the south-eastern shore of the Mediterranean. Butterfly Service is carried out in partnership with the company Arcoship Lines and has a frequency of 20 days.

The Italy – China route responds to the growing demand for preferential routes, characterized by economic convenience, agility, and speed of service, with a significantly shorter transit time than in the past. The choice of ports, both Eastern and Italian, is totally functional to the trade growth.
